About

Built around one belief.

Every child deserves the chance to reach their full potential. Behind that idea is a family, a board, and a growing community working to make it real.

Our story

How the Foundation came to be.

John D'Onofrio grew up with anxiety, ADHD, and depression. He was fortunate. Therapists, educators, mentors, and a steady family made sure he had what he needed, and that support changed the course of his life.

As he got older, he kept meeting families who knew exactly what their child needed but could not afford to get there. Evaluations, therapy, advocates, specialized schools. Real options for real kids, just out of reach.

Mia Barbato, a Special Education Teacher, was seeing the same thing from inside the classroom every day. Children who could thrive with the right support, families navigating it alone, and a gap that no one was filling fast enough.

Our board

The people behind the work.

A family-led board with backgrounds in education, finance, and community leadership. Headshots and full bios coming soon.

What guides our work.

Four principles we keep coming back to.

01

Every child matters.

No exceptions. No conditions. Each application is read on its own.

02

Help should arrive in time.

Not months after a family asks. We aim for two to four weeks, faster when it counts.

03

Families know their children best.

We listen first, then act. Our job is to remove the barrier, not redesign the plan.

04

Cost should never be the reason.

That a child does not get the support they need to reach their potential.
